With a passion for wholesome entertainment, Ummah Films has produced two films with very low budgets by industry standards. Many like-minded people came together to create these films (many with no film-making experience) and we’re grateful for their talents and dedication.
However, for our next project we recognize that a higher level of production value is needed to make the impact that we envision. With more resources from people like you, we can reach our goal together to provide very high quality films and programming that rivals today’s mainstream entertainment in a way that makes the world take notice.
Doctor, Director!
Budget: $7,000
Conceived by Canadian Ku Karimian and written by Ken Burn and Adnan F. Siddiqui, "Doctor, Director!" is a hilarious comedy short about a first meeting with the in-laws gone horribly wrong.
Director A.F. Siddiqui lends his artistic eye to yet another Ummah Films project, and Canadian Producers Zebunnisa Mirza and Shakera Nagil tackle logistics, casting, crew, numbers, and all the other production details. And no Ummah Films production is ever complete without the touch of audio genius, Sara Takieddin. Sara is back once again and will be making it all sound good with location and post audio.
